This idea had been quite a while in
coming and have made several attempts, so maybe I can actually make
it work this time.
Born of another idea entirely and
redrafted at least twice, this blog will be its own series of written
and video work about all the weird things that happen in my life and
world.
I know this is going to be a lot of
work for me, simply because I'm going to have to to start by learning
about the work of H. P. Lovecraft. Mostly, that's because my only
real references into the man's work are an episode of Real
Ghostbusters called The Collect
Call of C'Thulu and a series of videos by web video producer
Derek the
Bard called Seasons of Lovecraft that I originally watched on
Radio Dead Air's Monday
night broadcasts in summer and fall of 2012. There's a good chance
I'll talk about the individual episodes involved here later.
One thing that will help me with that
is renewing my library card, since I let it expire quite awhile ago
now. And since it's about time for me to renew my drivers license,
too, I may as well do both at the same time, since they both seem to
require the same set of documents to renew nowadays.
There are other resources I can and
will use as well, such as my good, if misguided, friends Google and
Wikipedia. I know, I know, not exactly the best resources ever, but
better than nothing, considering how motivated I tend to be some
days.
At any rate, this will almost certainly
take some time. I will endeavor to post as and when I can while I
learn, but because I know there's more to it than just the whole
“I'ay i'ya 'Cthulu i'ya C'thulu F'thaghna i'ah” thing we all know
about from pop culture, it will still take some time. I'll see you
when I see you, I guess.
